Rocks & Road was set up by Andrew to share his passion for mountain biking and road cycling through coaching and guiding. As an experienced instructor and coach, Andrew works with people at all levels, ensuring fundamental skills are in place to provide a foundation upon which to further develop and challenge their cycling ability. Whether on a 1-2-1 or group basis, Andrew can target individual needs with video analysis, tailored skills drills and guided mileage to put new techniques into practice.
A lifelong active cyclist, Andrew started in road racing as a schoolboy and junior. He trained for Sprint disciplines at the Manchester Velodrome in the late 1990s where he found himself competing along side the likes of Chris Hoy and Jason Queally. In 1997 Andrew was placed 3rd at the National Tandem Sprint Championships. An active member of Woking CC and formerly a member of Dulwich Paragon, Andrew has a wealth of knowledge of routes in the South East within easy reach of London.
On his mountain bike, Andrew enjoys the challenge of singletrack routes in the constantly changing landscape of the Surrey Hills. He has competed at 12 hour XC endurance events and successfully completed the 2016 & 2019 Trans-Provence Enduro race in France.
